Ingredients
- French baguette
- 1 store-bought or homemade onion confit (below)
- 1 package of smoked scallops (200 g)
- 1 piece of grated Tomme des Demoiselles
Instructions
- Cut the baguette lengthwise
- Make your onion confit or buy a store-bought one, and place it on top of the baguette.
- Place the scallops on top
- Put the cheese on top
- Brown in the oven for about 2 minutes
To make your onion confit
- 1 tbsp of butter
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 5 tbsp red wine
Instructions for preparing the confit
- Cut the red onion into thin slices
- Sweat with the butter in a pan until the onion is translucent
- Add the brown sugar and cook for one to two minutes until caramelized
- Then add the red wine, reduce to a syrupy consistency
